Effective tips for a good profile creation
1. A profile picture is extremely important.
Profiles without pictures don’t stand out to organizers searching for performers, so they practically have no chance of being selected.
2. Other photos. In addition to your profile picture, add other photos as well.
Good photo selection:
- Be relaxed in the photo, preferably with a slight smile.
- Color photos with a neutral, light, and calm background are the best choice.
- Good lighting is important – natural light from a window or outdoors provides a soft effect and ensures clear photos.
- Don’t forget to take a close-up (face and chest), a half-body (up to the knees), and a full-body photo.
Avoid these:
- Taking photos with sunglasses or a hat
- Using scarves or headscarves
- Excessive beauty effects or strong filters
- Photos taken from a distance
- Photos taken in dim light
Photos should be as recent as possible (preferably not older than a year) to truly reflect the person's nature and character.
Your photos can show your personality and charisma. A good photo can easily be taken in sunlight, against a calm background like light-colored walls or similar. You can also look up photo models on YouTube using keywords like: good selfie, self portrait, etc.
3. Other profile information
The best profile is one that includes all the required information. The more information you provide about yourself, the better your chances of being selected for performances.
Fill in the information carefully, write about your performance experience and other important details. If you have audio or showreels, add their YouTube/Vimeo/Soundcloud links to your profile. All of this helps organizers make the selection process easier.
4. Your profile privacy
Profiles are public by default regarding photos and general descriptions. You can hide your profile from search results and the publicly accessible list of performers through your profile privacy settings. Contact information is not visible to other performers or service visitors.
All profile information is visible to organizers, i.e., those posting performance announcements who are looking for performers. Profile information is also visible to organizers even if you have hidden your profile from search results and the list of performers.
