Balticfilmworks is a privately owned independent company, owned by Ilmari Kuusi and Marek Sabogal, who have long experience in the industry. They are also involved in the daily operational activities of the Balticfilmworks service.

Each gig listing has a button you can use to start filling out the application. The application is easy to complete and automatically includes all the information you’ve already provided in your profile. Depending on the completed sections of your profile and the gig’s requirements, some information may need to be added during the application process. Applying for gigs requires a Premium membership.
Activating a Premium membership may take a moment, especially if MobilePay was used as the payment method. During this time, you won’t be able to fill out applications yet. You can check your membership status in your profile if you’re unsure whether the subscription has been activated. Once your Premium membership is active, you’ll be able to fill out applications from gig listings.
If your Premium membership is active but you still experience issues opening the application, please contact us so we can investigate the problem.
You will first be notified by email through this service. Later, the producer or production company will contact you with more detailed information.
You can share your Balticfilmworks performer profile outside our service with other casting calls on different channels. Many platforms like Facebook, Instagram, or your email might have casting calls for film gigs that you might not find on Balticfilmworks. Your profile can act as a digital CV that’s always up to date, as long as you remember to keep it updated! You can update and tailor your profile based on the casting call’s requirements and send the link directly via email to the casting director. This way, the casting director can see your fresh profile and may contact you regarding that production.
Here’s how to do it:
1. Update your profile with recent photos and content.
2. Copy the public link to your profile and send it by email to the desired production. (Note: Your profile must be set to “public,” which you can change in the ACCOUNT & PRIVACY section if needed.)
Studioyleiso.fi is a “sister service” to Balticfilmworks, where production companies search for audiences for TV show recordings. The service is actively used, and many TV shows have found their audiences through it. Sign up for the mailing list, and soon you too can be part of a TV show audience. Registration for Studioyleisö is free of charge.
A good profile includes high-quality, up-to-date photos of yourself, your contact information, and personal details. The more precisely you describe yourself in your profile, the more production companies will be interested in you. Instructions for creating a good profile were sent to your email when you registered. You can also find more information on Instagram or Facebook.
CASTING DIRECTORS, Producers, and Production Companies
Any production company can register and start using the service. The backgrounds of producers and production companies are verified before they are approved as users of the service.
In the navigation menu (and in many other places), there is a link called “Post a gig.” The form that opens there is where you enter the gig details. Applicants and applications automatically appear in a list within the “producer’s dashboard” feature, making it easy to manage them.
No, it doesn’t cost anything. The basic features of the service—posting gigs, browsing applications, and selecting candidates—are free.
In addition to the free service, we offer paid add-ons such as payment handling, casting services, and studio audience management.
We gladly welcome suggestions for improvement and new ideas. If you are a casting director/producer or employer and have urgent questions, you can call us at 044-5352834 (business calls only).
